Writing and Creating

I've been dreaming up made-up worlds and magic ever since I was a kid, like any children. The things is, I never really grew out of it. As I aged, the scenes in my head became more vivid and detailed that the images became scenarios, conversations, settings and more.

The first "book" that I've written wasn't really a novel or a short story, it was an encyclopaedia of fantastical races and characters. They had descriptions of their physical bodies, their abilities and habitats. I wrote their names in word-art-style and made it look like, though handwritten, a proper book.

From then on, I started really writing. It was small scenes at first. Then it grew to chapters that never finished itself. Then around my early 20's, I crafted my first 100k manuscript--a YA action fantasy about a young girl with the power of time.

Though it hasn't been seen in the public eyes, I am very proud of it. Then I kept writing and writing, until I had a few novels completed, and then finally A Maiden's Misadventures with the Starless Sorcerer.

I had struggles in my writing, like any other struggling artist. I acknowledged them and let them take me for the day or the months or even years, but I still came back to it. The images and worlds in my head kept forming and happening, as I ride trains, travel different countries, work in the office and even as I slept. I will keep writing, imagining and creating until the day I can't do so anymore.
